In partisan move, Illinois Senate ignores necessary changes by Gov. Rauner to automatic voter registration

On Feb. 10, 2016, the West Virginia House Judiciary Committee approved a voter ID bill. The bill is currently under consideration by the entire House of Delegates.
The Connecticut Secretary of State is recommending the legislature enact automatic voter registration. The recommended system would “enable people to automatically register as Connecticut voters when they do business with the Department of Motor Vehicles.”
